Brittani and James had a Lago Custom Events Wedding at the Aloft Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland which was wonderful.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
I loved the enthusiasm Brittani and James had on their wedding day!
When they connected during their First Look it was so sweet and inspiring. He was one of the happiest guys I’ve
ever seen and I can tell she truly feels the love. This was a gorgeous Lago Custom Events wedding! After the
First Look the timing was perfect for the couple to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels at the air show.
All of the getting ready photos were at the Aloft Downtown Cleveland and then it was time for the First Look. Afterwards
we gathered the wedding party for some photos nearby and then off to the ceremony twenty floors up at the EY Penthouse.
Everything needed to start a bit later due to the nearby Cleveland National Air Show as those planes so close by are very loud.
Ashleigh and her team always makes a Lago Custom Events wedding so perfect and Aloft receptions are always well done.
I loved the ceremony in the penthouse-so cool up there.
Kim with Consider It Done events brought together all the details and made sure everything worked on the couple’s day.
Brittani: “When it came to are wedding we wanted to make it a fun atmosphere where friends and families can come and
celebrate our union with us. With us already having a son together that was important to the both of us. We wanted to
pick a venue in my hometown of Cleveland that was modern with a great view. A Lago Custom Events wedding provided
exactly what we needed.”
Fun it was for sure! James did one of the most energetic garter retrievals I’ve seen. I don’t know if he has any
professional experience but the dancing he did at that moment definitely seemed professional. Check out the photo-the
spiked heel on her Christian Louboutin heels could not get any closer to his eye. As the saying goes: “Kids-don’t try
this at home.” In fact, be careful at your wedding reception too.
Brittani had Hason Kelly do her makeup.
James helped Jackie with his tie while James, Jr. and Kingston, played had some phone time.
James got his son James, Jr. dressed for the wedding day.
Brittani prepared to descend the stairs for the First Look.
I hoped this would work with the timing and reflection and I think it did: Brittani and her father,
Clifford, heading toward James for the ceremony.
The cocktail hour at Aloft Cleveland Downtown as seen from 20 stories up in the penthouse.
Brittani’s mother, Patrice, listened to the toasts.
Best man Edwin connected with James after his toast.
During the anniversary dance this couple won for being married over 60 years. “Mr and Mrs
Townsend lived on the same street as my grandparents and have been family friends for over 50 years.”
Andy appeared happy that Emily caught the bouquet. If that means anything then hopefully I
will hear from them soon about an upcoming wedding.
Careful of that heel!
