St Clair Ballroom Wedding | Suzy + Brad

St Clair Ballroom Wedding

Suzy and Brad’s St Clair Ballroom Wedding was classy and fun!

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

I really enjoy Suzy and Brad. Such a sweet couple! We had fun with their engagement session so I knew the wedding day would be great.

First up was photos of Suzy and her girls getting ready at the Marriott Key Center next door to her St Clair Ballroom wedding. Suzy
surprised her dad with the Sarena Tamburitza Orchestra coming to his room for her first look seeing him.

Suzy: “I wanted to incorporate some Croatian/Serbian traditions for the day to pay homage to my roots. My dad grew up playing with
one of the band members and Sarena was the first Croatian band that I took Brad to see so it only made sense to have them play
for the wedding.”

After that we went to their apartment nearby that has a great view of downtown Cleveland. Then off to St. Stanislaus church in the
Slavic Village part of Cleveland. I was so happy when they asked me for church ideas in the city that would be photogenic.
This is easily one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in the area.

The photos will show you what I mean as I could not stop picking favorites of the church for the blog.

The ceremony started late due to the limo pickups being delayed from a detour with I-77 construction. Suzy: “I’m always late for
everything. For the first time, I was ready on time (even EARLY), and the girls still ended up being late to the wedding.
In true fashion, we were 20 minutes late to the ceremony!”

After their exit the Sarena Tamburitza Orchestra was outside waiting to play as there was much spirited dancing.

Then we took some photos in the beautiful Marble Room Steaks & Raw Bar in downtown Cleveland. From what I see on social media if
you go there to eat you MUST post a photo to show everyone. It’s that gorgeous and the food and drinks are excellent!

From there we walked over to the W. 4th Street for a photo in front of the Butcher and the Brewer where they had their first date.
I highly recommend their albino stout-one of my favorite beers.

We only had a few minutes there due to the running late issue and then we stopped by Progressive Field. Brad has season tickets to
the Cleveland Indians and loves baseball. Suzy surprised Brad with the Indians announcer Tom Hamilton on a recording
announcing them for the reception and yes he also loves Tom Hamilton.

Photos with the Cleveland sign and skyline were a must before heading to the St Clair Ballroom. Formerly the Club at Key Center it
has been renovated and such a perfect space for a wedding reception. Great views, decor and extra lounging rooms
where the couples can display photos and other things important to them surround a fireplace.

Suzy is from the Pittsburgh area and said they wanted to have a downtown Cleveland wedding, showcasing the city to their families,
and St. Clair was the perfect venue.
Being from Pittsburgh there had to be a cookie table. She said it  was for after dinner but didn’t even last through the salad. There were 120 dozen
cookies plus donuts and cupcakes.

Bridesmaid Lex gave Suzy a gift to remember their college friend Olivia that passed away from brain cancer.

Bridesmaids Danielle and Alexis found something funny!

Brad helped groomsmen Steven with his boutonniere.

Suzy and her father Tom.

Matron of honor Rhonda and Suzy.

Junior groomsmen Joey and Jackson had a front row seat.

Father Eric led the ceremony.

The banners were still up from Polish festival the week before.

Suzy and Brad had a quiet moment after the ceremony while the guests went outside.

The Marble Room!

Matron of honor Rhonda gave a toast.

Their reception signing album from our engagement session was very popular.
