Tricia and Andy’s Stan Hywet Hall wedding | Cleveland Wedding Photographer | Scott Shaw Photo

Tricia and Andy have great chemistry in photos; that was clear in our engagement session. So I knew their wedding would be a fun day.

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

They chose Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens for the ceremony. It is a truly beautiful estate – named for the Old English for stone quarry and abundance of stone used in its construction. Built by Goodyear founder F.A. Seiberling and his family, it was completed in 1915. So much history and amazing details lent themselves to beautiful photos. Thank you, Mr and Mrs. Seiberling! And to the fine folks who maintain the estate.

The earlier rain left some small puddles and the sun turned them golden from just the right angle!
Tricia’s unique ring and dress were also a great touch.

Andy and his groomsmen showed up ready for the day.

Tricia readied herself in the Gate Lodge with the help of her mother Marsha and we
had some extra time for photos there thanks to a huge downpour.

I loved how Tricia’s hair reminded me of the shapes of the original phone in the hallway.

After the rain cleared we headed to the walled English Garden for the first look.
The garden was designed between 1912 and 1915 by renowned American landscape architect
Warren Manning then redesigned by Ellen Biddle Shipman in 1929, and restored in the 1990s.
We used the beautiful reflecting pool, lych gate and garden statue to create great photos
as the couple spent a few minutes alone before rejoining their families for the wedding.

Then it was time for some photos with the bridal party in the garden before the ceremony.

The boys needed a little help with directions. It’s a lot of pressure walking in front of everyone like that!

Tricia’s brother Jeremy walked her down the aisle.

Tricia and Andy’s union took place in the back porch of the Manor House – an amazing setting.

The leaded glass windows made for an impressive backdrop for closeups of the couple as they said their vows.

Afterwards we did a few more photos with the bridal party and were heading to the reception at the Gate Lodge.

One more stop by the Birch Tree Allee with the happy couple; it’s a must do for photos.

On to the reception and lots of dancing before everyone heads home; Tricia and Andy are clearly well loved.

I always enjoy doing an end of the night picture with the couple. This venue, while perfect for
many aspects of a wedding, was quite challenging for this. It’s very dark around the Gate Lodge.
The security guards seemed to wonder about me as I walked around looking for inspiration.
And I finally found it! We got a great shot in the fog.

Thank you,
