Kait and Marc’s Mapleside Farms Barn wedding was a wonderful day.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
While I’ve been to Mapleside Farms weddings before I had not been to their barn venue and I loved it!
Kait and Marc share a strong faith and this showed all day. Kait: “The rainbow in the sky on a rainless,
perfectly sunny 70 degree day was a symbol of God’s presence and promise over our union.”
We started with getting ready photos at Kait’s parents home along with her son Liam and Marc’s home.
Then a first look – “Marc was stammering and talking really fast like on our first date and it was adorable”
and a few portraits in the Cleveland Metroparks before getting to Mapleside Farms for their barn wedding.
There was enough time to make some portraits there before the ceremony and Marc wanted to do a few
minutes of fishing with Liam. Marc brought enough fishing poles for all the groomsmen too and he
quickly caught a bass.
The ceremony just outside the barn went well although there was a wedding crasher Kait said. “The
entire time we were saying our vows, there was a giant grasshopper on my butt!”
Kait and Marc invited me to witness a prayer with their friends Brandi and Jeremiah: “We have
been so blessed by God and felt his presence and peace through the whole evening. We loved that we got
the opportunity to pray for you as well and will continue to keep you in our prayers!”
Marc: “We chose Mapleside for the beautiful vistas and memories Kait had of going there first
as a child with her parents and then with her son Liam.”
The sunset did not disappoint and everyone enjoyed witnessing it.
Kait’s mother Ronna helped with the dress.
Josi, Liam and Kalynn ran around the cake for a few seconds before the adults told them to stay away.
Look at that! Marc caught a bass!
Liam was a big helper with keeping his mom’s dress clean.
Kait and her father Martin headed toward Marc.
Jeremiah and Brandi prayed with Kait and Marc.
Kyle, Kara, Lori and Brady had to get a sunset photo.
Kait danced with her father Martin.
Darlene danced with her son Marc.
Josi and Liam danced together all night.
Kait’s cousin Kara caught the bouquet and her boyfriend Kyle caught the garter.
