Gideon Owen Wine Company Wedding | Nikki + Nick

Gideon Owen Wine Company Wedding

Nikki and Nick’s Gideon Wine Company wedding went perfectly.

It’s a beautiful venue for a ceremony and reception all together and even has a house for the bride
and her squad!

The couple are big fans of wine so it was the perfect place.

Nikki: “We chose Gideon Owen for our venue because Catawba Island/Marblehead is a very special
place for us. We spend our summers there and that is where we got engaged. We both love wine so it was very
fitting we got married in a wine cellar and took our honeymoon to wine country in Napa Valley. It almost
made our wedding a mini destination wedding, especially because most of our guests were from all over the
country – Texas, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota, Arizona and Illinois.

“We chose to do a wine boxing ceremony and picked out a special bottle of our favorite cabernet
sauvignon from the year we met to seal away with notes to each other we will open on our first anniversary.
After unpacking from the wedding- we realized we lost the key to the box. I guess we will just have to smash
it open next year!”

During their first look it was overcast and that changed the moment they saw each other. “One of
the craziest and best parts of the day was the fact that it was super gloomy and grey all morning with no sun
and the second Nick and I did our first look it was like the sun came out just for us at the most perfect time!”

We then made some portraits and Nikki said Nick didn’t want to walk too much because it would scuff
the bottom of his shoes. I was confused at first until I found out they were from Christian Louboutin.
Nick said that by the end of the day ““let’s just say that they were definitely not red anymore.”

The ceremony was in the wine cellar which is a cool spot and a bit of a lighting challenge. I was
asked before being booked if I would be able to handle that and it was not a problem!

Nikki’s younger sister Lexi was made her maid of honor: “Even living so far away in Florida she helped
make everything about my wedding experience special. She even planned the most amazing bachelorette
trip to Mexico for me! I am lucky to have a built-in best friend for life!”

Nick’s older brother was his best man: “A funny, quirky old soul that has been there for me through
the highs and lows. I know he will always have my back.”

I really enjoyed spending time with the couple and their friends and family. Such a wonderful
group of people.

Spenser took a photo with Jenna, Lexi and Lexus.

Nikki’s mother Monica helped with the dress.

Father Jeff was touched by his daughter’s wedding beauty.

The first look had some extra eyes viewing from the house.

Nikki had to be hidden from arriving guests as she made her way to the wine cellar.

Nick’s Christian Louboutin shoes before the red was worn off dancing all night.

I LOVED when the bridal parties entered as groups instead of everyone
doing the typical intro moves. More of this please!

Jeff gave a toast to his daughter and new son in law.

Nick’s father Ken also spoke.

Mother Rae and Nick made a very stylish dance.

When the Cleveland Keys play it’s going to be a great reception with
fun dancing all night.

Nick’s father Ken did the limbo while guests Cindy and Nowa guarded the beltway.

Nikki’s stepmother Lynn loved doing the limbo. I think I counted four times
she went through while perfecting her form.

Kenny got a lift from groomsman Gunnar.

A lantern release filled the sky at the end of the night.
