Whiskey Island Cleveland Engagement

Karla and Jason’s Whiskey Island Cleveland engagement was wonderful.

We made their engagement photos earlier this summer starting with a view of downtown Cleveland
from the west side of the city.

From there we went with their dog Günter to a few spots in the flats before getting to Whiskey
Island just before the sunset. We had a quick walk/run to get there as the sun was going down
quickly. The weather was perfect and we caught a nice sunset.

Looking forward to their wedding reception this weekend at the Union Club. They will marry at
Saint Maron Church which is just down from where the Cleveland Guardians will have a playoff
game with the Yankees. 

The Saint Maron congregation dates from 1914 when approximately 10 immigrant families from
Syria and Lebanon formed the St. John Maron Society. They started at a house making it a church in
1915 and moved to the current building in 1939.

I have only photographed one wedding there and it was about ten years ago with a cousin of
Jason’s so it will be good to finally be back.
