It’s always exciting when I hear my couples tell me they would like to do a Stan Hywet Engagement
session. I love all of the possibilities at Stan Hywet Hall in Akron.
The English Tea Garden, the Japanese Garden and the Great Garden are some of the highlights and
their Birch Tree Allée is quite famous. The 550 feet long alley of trees offers a visual pleasing backdrop.
F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, built the house for his
family and they lived there for forty years starting in 1915 and after he died it became a house musueum.
Melissa and Joe were naturals in front of the camera and we explored quite a few spots. I’m so
glad I met them through our mutual friend Mark Puente while I was photographing his taco truck, Puente’s
Tijuana Tacos. If you ever see them at an event be sure to have some of their tasty offerings.
I’m happy to be there for their St. Christopher Church ceremony and St. Demetrios reception.
