I knew Kristen and Craig would be full of energy on their wedding day after we spent a good amount of time doing their engagement photos in the cold winter setting of Cleveland.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We were followed around by a Plain Dealer photographer
for the article and the photos and story later appeared
in the newspaper and online. I wrote an article about why
I think it’s a big help to shoot engagement photos.
I will link below so you can read it as well
as the engagement photos I made that day.
Kristen is very close with her parents, Joyce and Thomas
and we started with her getting ready at their east side of Cleveland home.
All eyes were on Kristen as she came down to show off her dress.
Even Glacier, the family’s Maltese was watching!
Craig was getting ready at St. John Vianney in Mentor.
Father Johns performed the ceremony.
We made some portraits of the couple at the Italian Gardens
of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens.
The reception was held at the Marriott East in Warrensville Heights.
Craig’s grandmother, Dorothy, 92, really lit up the dance floor!
She and her husband, Robert, have been married 69 years and it was no surprise
when they later won the dance for longest married.
Craig’s mother, Teresa, poured Kentucky bourbon whiskey from Mr. Lucky for a toast.
His grandfather, John, purchased the leprechaun for his mother (Craig’s great grandmother)
as a gift. After they both passed it was kept in the family. As Craig was growing up he
would ask when his mother was going to open it. During his high school years he was told
it would be opened at his wedding. The bottle was from 1972.
Congratulations to Kristen and Craig!
