Christina and Brandon clearly have a deep bond and I loved witnessing their (yes) love on their wedding day.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
Their October wedding was one of those gorgeous fall days where you wish it was just a bit warmer.
The ceremony was at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Akron. From there we made
a few quick stops in downtown Akron including the Akron Art Museum.
Then it was time for the reception at the Fairlawn Country Club.
I even saw some old friends at the reception and it was fun to
catch up. Hello again Terry and Chris if you’re seeing this.
Everyone braved the elements for some great photos so please enjoy!
Christina’s mother Linda was a huge help in planning the wedding.
Christina said she thought it would be better to put this
sixpence outside the shoe for comfort.
Sisters Stephanie and Alexandra celebrated finishing
buttoning up Christina’s dress.
Something blue was sewn into the dress.
Stephanie helped Christina on her way to see her father,
Joseph, for the first time in her wedding dress.
Joseph was touched deeply after seeing how beautiful his daughter looked.
Three gorgeous sisters and all are attorneys like their father.
Cue the Red solo cup song in your head.
Loved this ring photo taken in the family’s home.
Clint helps Brandon get ready at St. Vincent Catholic Church.
Dave was co-best man with Clint.
Brandon’s emotions show how much he loves Christina
as she walks down the aisle with her father.
Rev. Timothy performed the ceremony at St. Vincent Catholic Church.
After the ceremony we were off to downtown Akron for some
creative portraits. Always a favorite part of my day as a wedding photographer.
It wasn’t easy getting the ladies to come outside in the
cold we did quickly make a few photos!
A quick stop at the Akron Art Museum was worth it.
The ring and the cake were classics.
I always love when old photos are brought to the reception.
After the bridal party warmed up we went outside for a few more photos.
Sisters Alexandra and Stephanie toasted the couple.
The father-daughter dance was very emotional.
Brandon danced with his grandmother Wanda.
Christina tells the story behind the above photo:
“Brandon’s mother Barb is in the pink urn and his aunt Robyn
is in the other one with flowers. They liked to wear sunglasses
and drink margaritas. Brandon wanted them at the wedding
partying with us. They both died very young-before age 50.”
Christina’s parents Linda and Joseph had a special dance together.
I noticed the cake after the couple had made the first cut
and liked that it was a different photo than is usually seen.
What a great fall wedding day in the Akron area.
Many wishes for a happy life Christina and Brandon!
Thank you,
