Engagement Session at the Cleveland Museum of Art

Meredith grew up visiting the Cleveland Museum of Art weekly so what better place for her engagement session with Mike?

The first thing I wanted was to make some images of the couple
together in front of the Cupid and Psyche
painting by Jacques Louis David from 1817.

Meredith’s mother, Barbara, is a volunteer at the Museum.
Mike and Meredith came in from their Denver home to plan for their
wedding and for their engagement session photos. We walked around
looking at the art where Meredith spent many hours visiting over the years.

The Armor Court is a fascinating area although Meredith
and Mike seemed to be fascinated with each other more.

Wall Drawing 590A by Sol LeWitt is visible from
the front of the music, especially at night.

The Ames Family Atrium connects the new space to the 1916
building. Visible through the glass is the Frank Gehry-designed
Peter B. Lewis Building which is the home of the Weatherhead School
of Management is visible on the Case Western Reserve University campus.

The Age of Bronze by Rodin casts a shadow on the marble.

Bodhisattva from the 700s in China, Hebei province, Tang dynasty (618-907)

Southeast Asian and Indian art in the west wing of the museum’s expansion.
