Andrea and Jim’s wedding ceremony and reception at the Cleveland Courthouse was wonderful in so many ways.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
The couple got ready at the Westin Cleveland Hotel and they
first saw each other in the Greek Garden at the
Cleveland Cultural Gardens where we did some portraits.
After that we did some photos around the Cleveland Convention Center
before walking over to the Cuyahoga County Courthouse for
the ceremony and reception. The wedding was July 4th so we
went outside during Cleveland’s fireworks celebration for a few photos.
Sister of the bride Leah helps Andrea with her bridal veil.
Before leaving the Westin we did some photos in the restaurant
Urban Farmer. A wonderful place to eat and their butterscotch
dessert I had one day after lunch is still in my top ten of all time.
I always love making a story from their first look capturing
more than just the usual photo of the groom and bride that is
typically seen. Expanding it with a variety of angles and distances
in the images is part of my background in telling stories as a photojournalist.
Samantha and her doll “Baby” share some snacks before the ceremony.
Andrea’s brother in laws and nephews, Blair,
Wesley, Philip and Phil, play a game.
Samantha was the perfect height to view the arriving guests.
Andrea waited at the top of the magnificent marble staircase
for the ceremony to start. The stained glass window “Justice”
is such a beautiful backdrop.
Jim’s grandmother, Mary, gives her great grandson
Riley a hug after he walked down the aisle.
All eyes were on Andrea and her father, Eric, as they approached Jim.
Andrea lived in France for a year where Jim visited her
twice so she used several Eiffel Towers for their wedding. They
locked their love on the love lock bridge in Paris and
celebrated the new year at the Eiffel Tower.
The bride’s grandfather, Robert, was the officiant.
The photo booth had a variety of props and the cake was made by Patisserie 42.
The couple practiced their entrance and first dance while
waiting to be introduced. I love capturing these behind the scenes moments.
Nephews of the bride and groom, Wesley, Philip
and Riley, play before the toasts began.
Andrea’s sister gives a toast.
Jim danced with his mother, Maggie.
The Sunrise Jones Band kept everyone dancing all night.
When we heard Cleveland’s July 4th fireworks going
off we ran outside for a few wedding photo backdrops.
The Kelly’s dance with the reflection of the Eiffel Tower behind them.
Thanks to my assistants Harrison and John for
taking a few photos during the ceremony. The wedding gown custom made by Lunss.
What a great wedding. This classy couple was
so fun to be with on their wedding day!
Thank you,
