The thing that struck me the most about this couple is how much they
smiled all day. I noticed it at the time and when I looked through
the photos it was really evident.

I knew the wedding day would be fun after we did their engagement
session was in the winter on a very cold day (that’s winter for you!)
and we spent our time in the East Bank of the Flats. See a link at
the end of this post for those photos.

I first found Paul getting ready at a University Circle hotel and
then went to JL at the Ballroom at Park Lane. Then they had a first
look and portraits at the Wade Lagoon and Cleveland Museum of Art
areas-classic locations for Cleveland wedding photographers.

The ceremony was at the Amasa Stone Chapel. The chapel on the campus
at Case Western Reserve University was commissioned by his daughters
in his memory. In 1907 architect Henry Vaughn of Boston was appointed
by the sisters to create the chapel. Designed in the 14th century
English Gothic style that had increased in popularity at the turn
of the 20th century, the Amasa Stone Chapel boasts an impressive
tower which was designed to be a “representative of the aspirations
of the University.” The windows of the chapel have been recognized
as excellent examples of ecclesiastical glass.

This was my first time at Ballroom at Park Lane and I loved the hall.
The rotunda is perfect for the cocktail hour and I love the dining
room. The second floor sides looking down on the room are great for
a bird’s eye view while doing Cleveland wedding photography.

JL got ready at Park Lane Villa, connected to the Ballroom at Park Lane.
Paul gave her a book with photos and memories from their time together.

The first look was at Wade Oval-a mainstay for Cleveland wedding photographers
and very near the Ballroom at Park Lane Villa.

The grounds around the Cleveland Museum of Art are very popular with
Cleveland wedding photographers.

The wedding party reflected in Anish Kapoor’s “C-Curve” at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The guys had fun in front of the Tony Smith sculpture “Source” at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Amy Miller and Branch and Bloom provided these gorgeous bouquets.

JL had some quiet time before approaching the altar with her father, Wayne.

I loved the champagne entry for the guests at the Ballroom at Park Lane Villa.

Spice of Life Catering Co. provided the delicious food.

I always love a cake made by Kim Coryea at Hummingbird Bake Shop.

The Ballroom at Park Lane Villa is nearly 100 years old.

The couple played the shoe game and answered questions by holding up
their answer with the respective shoe.
