Dunham Tavern Museum Wedding | Alicenne + Henry

Dunham Tavern Museum Wedding

Alicenne and Henry’s wedding at the Dunham Tavern Museum was a wonderful reunion of friends and family from far away.

The Conrad Botzum Farmstead is located in the Cuyahoga Valley National R
and this was my first wedding there. After hearing so much about it
I’d been looking forward to finally seeing it in person.

Henry is originally from Norway and many friends and family visited from
there and California where they lived before among other places. I
started with Alicenne at their home in Cleveland Heights while my
assistant Amy took photos of Henry’s pre ceremony get together at a
nearby house.

We did a First Look at the Shaker Lakes area and then each gathered with
friends and family at different homes for some food and advice on marriage.

Before the ceremony Cantor Sager of the Fairmount Temple presided over the
Ketubah signing. Then the ceremony and reception continued at the Dunham Tavern Museum.

The museum is the oldest building in Cleveland that is still on its original
site. Built in 1824 the home is worth a visit for those interested in history.

Joclyn and Deborah helped Alicenne get ready.

Alicenne received many compliments during the day for her shoes by John Fleuvog.

The couple had some alone time after the ceremony.

They had postcards from scenic locations in the USA for people to sign with
messages and I liked the rings with this one of Mount Rushmore.

The food from Spice Catering was delicious. They always do a wonderful
job. Flowers were provided by Urban Orchid.

Henry’s mother Erna brought her supplies and started baking cakes and
pies the night she arrived after flying for over 20 hours.
His sister Maya helped bake one too. There were so many traditional
cakes that many had never seen before. They invited everyone to try a taste of each.

I loved this moment when Henry and Alicenne stood up on the chairs after some toasts.
