Jen and Greg’s Silver Grille Ritz-Carlton wedding was art deco wonderfulness and this champagne greeting after the ceremony was very classy.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
The Silver Grille is known to long time Clevelanders as the restaurant
in the Higbee Building at Tower City. The Ritz-Carlton
owns it now and I love the venue’s history.
First opened in 1931 the details are wonderful and it’s been recently
restored. The windows, lights, fountain and wood paneled
walls are full of art deco details. The old photos outside
the reception space show how it was many years ago.
Higbee’s was a department store and was featured in the movie A Christmas
Story. The display windows featured Ralphie’s holy grail.
The Red Ryder BB gun that he coveted.
Back to the wedding-Jen and Greg readied themselves in the Ritz-Carlton
and they did a First Look, seeing each other in the lobby.
We then went to the Cuyahoga County Courthouse for some portraits with the
bridal party. The gorgeous space is always a wonderful backdrop.
Then it was off to the ever popular area about the Cleveland Museum of
Art and Wade Lagoon.
Finally it was time for the ceremony and reception at the Silver Grille.
After that the cocktail hour in the hallway preceded the
reception and a full night of toasts and dancing.
Jen mentioned some great memories of the dance floor but some involved
certain people drinking a bit much so I will let them stay
anonymous. An interrupted slow dance that turned into a
conga line was a favorite as well as her cousin Travis
breaking it down on the dance floor. Every wedding I’ve
been to with DJ Pete of Troy Entertainment has been a
energetic night of dancing. The way he spins music always works well.
Let’s let Jen have the last word on her day: “I truly felt there was so
much love in the room, so much genuine love, and I’ll never forget it.”
Maid of honor Valerie helped Jen get ready.
Behind Greg is the Silver Grille where the ceremony and reception
was to take place.
Best man Matt checked that Greg looked his best.
The Cuyahoga County Courthouse and that staircase is always a favorite.
The bridal party talked in front of Rodin’s “The Thinker” and the Cleveland Museum of Art. The wedding photo backdrops from katebackdrop

Jen and her father, Frank, entered the ceremony.
Officiant Tyler Benack led the ceremony at the Silver Grille.
I loved all of the art deco details at the Silver Grille.
DJ Pete of Troy Entertainment kept the dance floor busy all night.
We found this unique angle for an end of the night shot. Just as we
were taking photos the fireworks at Progressive Field
after the Cleveland Indians starting going off. This was
perfect as Jen and Greg are major fans of the baseball team.
We even took engagement photos on the field.
Thank you for viewing this wedding,
