Rocky River High School’s Swimming and Diving Team just finished another successful year. I was asked to contribute
some photos to the slideshow at their banquet. While looking through I felt
there was enough variety for a blog post.
I was a photojournalist for the Plain Dealer for over 20 years and photographed quite a swim meets and plenty of professional
sports. These days I mostly post weddings, engagements, seniors photo sessions
on the blog and I’m adding more fitness-related sessions lately. If you know
anyone needing these services please share my name!
You’ll notice I mostly photographed my son, Harrison, with a few others here and there during the season. I did photograph
as many swimmers as possible during their Elyria Catholic Pentathlon meet at Oberlin
College. Everyone swims all four strokes at this meet. The divers had already
competed earlier in the day so I didn’t get to take their photos. The photos
below are a mix of what’s in the gallery.
This is not comprehensive by any means but many parents and swimmers may find photos of interest in this gallery I’ve
uploaded. Feel free to download them. If you can leave my watermark/give me credit
when posting on social media I would appreciate it. These are free aka priceless
as the saying goes and the result of many hours of work-although not nearly as many
hours as everyone on the team put in this year.
You’ll find the link at the end after you’ve viewed these photos.
Thanks to all the swimmers, divers and coaches for their hard work this year. It was a great season and we
can’t wait until next year!
