Katherine and Rob’s wedding at the Tudor Arms Hotel was a wonderful way to start off a busy wedding season.

I started the wedding season here last year and hope the tradition continues at this gorgeous venue.
Katherine and Rob’s Tudor Arms Hotel wedding was one of the most “family centric” weddings I’ve seen.
Everyone was so supportive of each other on the day. I loved when their daughters Kara
and Madeline first saw them. The look in Katherine’s parents eyes was also special
when Steve and Jackie watched the girls give them a hug.
During the ceremony there was a family circle. Katherine said about this: “t\The family
circle was something my Dad was really excited about for the ceremony. Instead of
the traditional “giving away” which didn’t exactly fit our family, or the fact that
we have two kids and a house, etc; he wanted to focus more on joining of the families
to support our marriage. No one was leaving anyone, we were growing the family unit to
include each other’s families as ours.”
Her father Steve echoed this: “It was an active demonstration of our love and support –
that has been there up until the ceremony and continues beyond the ceremony,
in concert with their wedding vows.”
Katherine said, “We both loved that our girls were part of our wedding – I like to
joke we did things in the reverse order, but it works for us and having them
there was really special.
“We did the candle lighting for our younger brothers. I lost my brother, Kevin, in August
2015 and Rob lost his brother, Lee, Jr, in July 2013. We miss them both
tremendously and it was hard not to have them with us for the occasion.
“We had family/friends in from Mexico, Italy and the Netherlands to celebrate with us.
I was pretty relaxed for the most part, I think I got all my anxiety
out with my crazy week at school beforehand, so by the time the wedding
came about I was just excited. I was convinced it was going to snow so I
was pleasantly surprised by the sun, even if it was cold.”
Getting ready photos at Tudor Arms Hotel started the day and then a first look there before
we went to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens and the Cleveland Museum of
Art for portraits. Then we were back to the Tudor Arms Hotel for the ceremony and reception.
Leah Rowan did the hair and makeup on the ladies.

Rob’s father, Lee, was emotional during the ceremony.
Allison and her team at Kirkbrides helped make sure everything went smoothly
on the day at Tudor Arms Hotel.
The family dance with the girls was very important to Katherine and Rob.
