ThornCreek Winery Wedding

It was not my first ThornCreek Winery wedding reception but it was my first ceremony there.
We started at the Arra Hair Salon & Spa in Chagrin Falls where everyone was getting their hair
and makeup done. It was quite a party with some of the parents and other family there to enjoy the day as well.
At one point everyone did the YMCA movements as the song played. That was a first for me in a hair salon!
Then we were off to Becky’s parents home for all of the ladies to get dressed. I made a new friend with
Bailey, the dog. After I gave him a few treats he wanted to follow me around the house. Go figure!
Becky said Bailey stayed by her side all morning. Well most of it anyway.
From there we were off for their ThornCreek Winery wedding and I met the guys there.
With the ceremony spilling into the cocktail hour and reception the couple elected to do a First Look
and portraits before the ceremony.
I love the trees in the background at the winery. The doors where they had Becky and her father,
Ray, walk through for the ceremony are a very nice touch at ThornCreek in Aurora.
There was one small mishap at the ceremony although I don’t think too many people noticed. They
were too busy looking at the beautiful bride and her proud father.
“I can’t believe I forgot to carry my bouquet down the aisle! I didn’t even realize it until I
walked down the aisle. No matter! It gave me the opportunity to show off my dress and the flowers
at the wedding were absolutely beautiful.”
The clouds were very dramatic during the ceremony and the wind felt so good.
During the reception the clouds turned dark and a torrential rain came down on the tent.
Becky: “We were glad that mother nature decided not to rain on our wedding day until we were all
under the tent for the reception. The staff and even the guests were quick to help put the sides
of the tent down. We were then able to stay dry and continue celebrating under the tent.”
Special thanks to MJ and her team at ThornCreek for making it a success.
It was also great that Brandy and Nataya from All Events Planned were there making sure everything
went well and all of the details were taken care of for Becky and Parrish. It’s always much
smoother when I’ve worked with them on a wedding.
Becky: “They did a great job of keeping me organized and giving me a variety of suggestions
throughout the planning process, keeping us on schedule on the wedding day, setting up
decorations, and I imagine so much more behind the scenes!”
This ThornCreek Winery wedding showed me that an old wagon with S’mores fixings is a great idea.
It was very popular and how could it not be?
At the end they had a sparkler sendoff.
Becky said “it felt magical! It was wonderful seeing the glow from the sparklers
and all of our loved ones faces.”
