Christy and Justin were full of energy and fun all day and night!

I didn’t get to meet Christy and Justin before their St. Denis Golf Club wedding since they live in Memphis, TN. I
quickly felt like we’d spent time together before as both were so friendly and easy going.
We met at the Major Compound as they call it-the place where the family business and their houses are located just
outside Chardon. Christy was just finishing up her hair and makeup and Justin was in a building on the property
getting dressed. It’s a fun place as Christy’s father has collected all sorts of interesting items which his job
over the years. The Farrah Fawcett poster brought me back a bit as I hadn’t seen one in years.
It was very touching to see Justin’s strong bond with his children, Ainsley and Owen.
We did their First Look on a pond on the property and some other fun photos. Her father, Chris, has a 1946 Willy CJ2A
or “Jeep” as many would call it. The couple drove it around for a bit before we headed out for wedding party
photos and the ceremony and reception.
We stopped by a nearby park with a cool old red barn before some downtown Chardon photos. Then we were off for the
St. Denis Golf Club wedding outside.
One reason they chose the place was they enjoy playing golf. Christy: “We still need to play our round of golf for
last names – Christy wins = Justin takes Magyar,. Justin wins = Christy takes Cutler. TBD”
They’ll be moving back to Ohio in November but I’m not sure it will be warm enough to play golf there then.
The couple had a wooden time capsule they sealed at the reception. I asked what was inside: “A Bottle of Whiskey with
two rocks glasses and a letter written by each to the other. We will open it in seven years – we had a
string of bad luck – maybe we should choose 13 years.”
They further explain: “the invites went out with the WRONG DATE so we had to text and make phone calls. Our church
canceled on us a little over two weeks before – so then we had to send out “whoopsie cards” with the
correct address and why we got married at the same place as reception. Three groomsmen backed out a week
prior to the wedding. The place we ordered decorations from shipped with all the wrong things and they
had to expedite a new shipment. Our hotel kept telling our guests the rooms were all booked in ‘our block’
but they were not… and it does not end there.”
Luckily the actual wedding day went very well!
Christy’s dog, Bernie, was the “Dog of Honor” at the house.
Her mother, Teri, helped her get the dress to fit just right.
The best man Ted helped Justin get ready with the famous Farrah Fawcett poster and other collectibles nearby.
Ted brought the beer bong and it did see some serious use on the day as well as the reception.
Justin had a moment with his son Owen.
The First Look!
Justin gave his daughter Ainsley a necklace before the wedding.
I didn’t know the “butt dance” would be happening. “That was actually my third wedding I’ve attended using it for an
entrance which kinda makes it my thing now.
They sealed up the time capsule.
Christy’s grandmother Betty enjoyed the dance floor.
