Starr and Brad’s beautiful St. Emeric Wedding Ceremony.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
St. Emeric Catholic Church is a beautiful old Hungarian church founded in 1904. It serves the spiritual
needs of Hungarian speaking Catholics in greater Cleveland and many surrounding suburbs. This was my first time for a
St. Emeric wedding ceremony. I enjoyed finding a variety of angles of the church for Starr and Brad’s wedding.
Starr: “St. Emeric Church is a Hungarian Catholic Church and we wanted to have a touch of tradition included in our
wedding day. I was baptized on August 10th and we also got married on August 10th without knowing until I checked the baptism
paperwork during Pre Cana! The priest that married Brad and I – Father Richard – his uncle baptized me in 1997. Both my
parents are Hungarian and I wanted to include something special for my heritage! Also the flower choices were from Orban’s
Flowers off of Buckeye Road where my dad’s Hungarian aunt worked.”
We started with getting ready photos at Tudor Arms Hotel. I always love the space there for makeup, hair and
getting in the dress.
“One funny memory was when my bridesmaid Taylor brought me the veil she started crying. She left the hallway and
said “oh man I’m going to go cry now!” and then did after seeing me in my dress for the first time.”
After the St. Emeric wedding ceremony we went to the Cleveland Museum of Art for portraits with the bridal
party and couple.
Then we were off to Tudor Arms Hotel for the cocktail hour and reception. Caroline and the staff at Tudor Arms Events
always makes it a perfect wedding reception.
Bridesmaids Jessica and Taylor finished getting ready.
Starr with her mother Julie.
Brad’s father Robert helped with his tie.
Mother Yvonne gave Brad a hug.
Father Frank reacted to seeing Starr in her dress.
