A Christmas Wedding at Glidden House

A Christmas Wedding at Glidden House

Chelsie and Michael’s Christmas wedding at Glidden House was full of color and lights on a chilly day in December.

There was no snow for their day however all of the greenery and lights made it so festive for a Christmas wedding at Glidden House.

I started at Michael’s mother Patricia’s house in Cleveland Heights. A gorgeous century home that was perfect for getting ready photos. His son, Thomas, was so much fun all day and full of personality. He kept me laughing all day and is a very bright kid.

After this I went to the scene of the Christmas wedding at Glidden House for getting ready photos with Chelsie and her family. There were some beautiful options in the suite where everyone was.

From there it was a first look in one of the rooms that’s full of windows and Christmas lights and wreaths. Then we walked over to the Cleveland Museum of Art. We took some photos outside the museum on our way inside to the atrium. Not too many though as it was quite cold!

We are allowed to photograph only on the first floor of the atrium. Many think you are allowed in the galleries but that is not the case. There’s still some nice backgrounds especially with the Christmas decorations. The ceremony and reception were so fun with a packed dance floor all night! I think all of the kids with their wild dancing really brought a great energy to the reception.

I asked Michael a few things about why they chose a Christmas wedding at Glidden House.

Here’s his responses: “We viewed two venues and easily chose the Glidden House in Cleveland for both the ceremony and the reception, because of its historic charm and character. We were originally planning to have our wedding in the fall, but after returning to the venue around the holidays, the nostalgic decor and winter atmosphere won us over.

“In retrospect, we are happy we chose the Glidden House as the coordinators went above and beyond to make the day perfect. Every detail of our event was thought through carefully with their assistance and they worked extremely hard to make sure the day ran smoothly.

“Our ceremony was special because Chelsie’s cousin Emarie officiated. Emarie and Chelsie have been close for their whole lives and to share those moments together made the day that much better. It was also a surprise to all of the family that was able to be there.

“We opted for a non-traditional and brief ceremony as well as a simple reception. The main priority was making sure everyone had good food and a fun time. Nomad Culinary was a big hit with all of our guests and they accommodated a variety of different dietary preferences seamlessly. Selective Sound events did an awesome job keeping us and, most importantly, our guests dancing late into the night.”

Michael got ready with his son Thomas in his old bedroom.

Chelsie’s mother Sherri and sister in law Angie helped with the dress.

Walking to the first look!

Chelsie’s father Miles walked her down the aisle.

One of the boy’s took his fancy moves to a spot just off the dance floor.
