The portrait locations are definitely considered the classic go to spot for Cleveland weddings. The Cultural Gardens
are also a popular place for portraits, especially a Tudor Arms wedding which is so close to both.

Deciding on a Cleveland wedding

Emma: “Matt and I met over five years ago when we were both training at Case Western Reserve University so University
Circle has always had a very special place in our heart. About a year after we met, we took a leap of faith and moved all
the way to Wisconsin, and while we love the life we’ve created in Milwaukee, there was never a question about getting
married back in Ohio. It was important to us to get married around Cleveland to honor and remember those early, exciting,
and formative days of our relationship.

“We came back to Cleveland for a weekend last summer and toured nine venues in the area in just the one weekend and had
an engagement party but the moment we walked into Tudor Arms the decision became easy. It took our breath away and we could
immediately picture our wedding there. The architecture is stunning and totally fit our vibe. We loved how elegant and moody
it felt in the ceremony space and how vast, light, and beautiful the reception area was.

She described her wedding day so well: “On our wedding day, everything was as beautiful as we had hoped for. We felt so
special and loved. I was blown away by my bouquet and the floral arrangements: the florist had thoroughly exceeded my expectations!
We had a string quartet for our ceremony and they sounded so magical. Hearing them playing while I was waiting to walk down the
aisle really had me start feeling the gravity of what was about to happen. All of my emotions started building up as I was waiting,
but once I got to the top of the aisle and made eye contact with Matt, I immediately felt at ease. I couldn’t wait to be up there
together with him.

“Our parents Becky and Todd were a huge part in organizing and planning our big day and we were so happy to see them get
to enjoy themselves on the dance floor after dinner. My dad even put on an impromptu dance performance from the balcony overlooking
the dance floor. We can always count on him being the life of the party!

“Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be. We worked with incredible vendors and wouldn’t change a thing! We
loved Scott Shaw’s work right away, and when we met with him we knew immediately that we would hire him to photograph our big day.”

Matt adds: “Our wedding at Tudor Arms was everything we were hoping for! We had a great venue and vendors that made sure
the day went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. One of my favorite details of the day was having our dog, Shadow, be a part
of our wedding pictures. He was so happy to see us and was dressed for the occasion in a tuxedo collar. He posed great for some
pictures with us! We appreciate the time Scott Shaw spent ahead of the wedding and on the wedding day to make sure we captured
all the important moments.”

I appreciate their kind words and love documenting their Cleveland wedding day.
