Allison and Brian’s wedding day went perfectly-except for that one little delay.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
The weather was perfect-everyone was on time-there was just one tiny issue.
Well in this case a bigger than tiny issue.
Allison’s veil was left 50 miles away and it wasn’t a tiny issue
because she had a very long veil! This veil was dramatic
in every way it seemed.
Luckily one of her friends was running late to the
ceremony and could bring it. No problem.
But then she was confused on the directions and drove to
the reception address, not the church so a bit of backtracking.
Bridesmaid Ashley was waiting at the front of the church and
ran it in to the bride. The ceremony only started 20 minutes late. Not too bad!
The wedding mass was conducted by all family members. Allison said,
“It meant so much to us to have our have our families
come together in support of our marriage!”
After the ceremony at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church we went to
Medina’s square for photos before the reception at Weymouth Country Club.
Let’s get on to the photos!
While I may be a guy I do notice nice shoes and I know
that Jimmy Choo shoes are a big name in the shoe world.
Brian and his best man Eric greeted guests
as they arrived at Holy Martyrs.
Flower girl Natalie checked out the Jimmy Choo action.
Ashley ran in with the veil! I photographed her wedding
to Eric a few months earlier. Love her!
Friend and hairstylist Katicia made sure the veil was secure.
A kiss from father Brad before they walk down the aisle.
Father Steve and Father Donald performed the ceremony.
Father Donald is Brian’s cousin.
That veil!
Downtown Medina is full of great buildings and history. Even the cars
are sometimes historic! Does anyone know what this car might be?
You can post a comment at the bottom. Don’t be afraid to post a blog comment!
Gazebos are a staple of wedding photography it seems and I don’t use
them often. This is one of the best though and we had to do a few photos here.
This red building is full of yes! The Town Hall and
Engine House must have been busy back in 1878.
The Dress Bridal Boutique was a good backdrop for a photo.
Hershey’s Barber Shop has been a mainstay in the town since 1950.
I took photos in there while a staff photographer at the Plain Dealer.
While we were walking in Medina’s historic district I noticed a
newer establishment. This wine shop known as H2 and officially
called Huth & Harris Wine Merchants caught my eye and I looked
inside and couldn’t believe my eyes. Less than a year old this
gorgeous space was perfect for photos and wine drinking too.
Check it out when you’re in Medina. I can’t wait to get back
there when I have time to relax and drink some wine.
As we left downtown a gust of wind caught Allison’s veil
but there was no way the couple was letting it blow away.
The guest cards were arranged in a fun way at Weymouth Country Club.
This gorgeous cake was made by Wild Flour Bakery.
Brian’s a serious bodybuilder and had no problem
carrying Allison in during the introductions.
Guest Don enjoyed the reception. I loved the light
streaming in during the early evening.
Allison’s grandparents Fred and Dolores won the anniversary
dance and have been married 65 years!
Lynn and her daughters Kayla and Noelle danced with some smoke
provided by the DJ’s from TKO Entertainment.
Allison dances with Natalie.
What a great wedding!
