Bertram Inn Wedding

Sammie and Alex started in Chagrin Falls and ended with a Bertram Inn wedding reception.

We all met at St. Joan of Arc in Chagrin Falls for getting ready photos. Sammie arrived first with her bridesmaids so we had plenty
of time for fun portraits after everyone was ready. They had cute pea coats which Sammie’s mom, Karen, and maid of
honor sister Katie thought would be perfect for a Cleveland winter wedding.

After the ceremony we went to downtown Chagrin Falls which was decorated for Christmas and looked beautiful. It was very crowded
with shoppers, many wishing the bride and groom good luck.

Sammie: “We chose Chagrin Falls because it is easy driving distance for most of our family. I was born in Chagrin Falls and after
going to mass at a few churches we knew we wanted St Joan of Arc. With us moving to California somewhere that would be
easy for everyone to get to and close to family would make our trip easier. The church has a very traditional look and
we liked that they would have it decorated for the season. We also have a lot of out of town friends so having the wedding
at the Bertram Inn worked so that we could have our own space in the Annex building but still have a hotel right next door
that our friends could stay in.”

She really enjoyed the Lolly the Trolley and Sammie was excited to ring the bell when they arrived at the venue.  The Chagrin Falls
Popcorn Shop was a must and the bridal party enjoyed some delicious popcorn.

Alex played baseball at Case Western Reserve University and had three groomsmen from the team. There were 17 teammates that made
it to the wedding plus two former high school teammates. Baseball is obviously a huge part of Alex’s life and that was
evident in the amount of butt pats and elaborate handshakes throughout the day.
