I’ve heard good things about Catawba Island Club weddings so when Tiffany and Ralph told me that was their location
I was excited. I’ve also never done any wedding photos in Fremont and loved that I would have a new location
to check out along with a few spots in between the two areas. I knew it was going to be a great day!

We had a great time doing their Cleveland engagement photos and I’ll provide the link for that a bit later. Surely
you’ll want to check that out too.

After getting ready photos we were at the church in Fremont for the ceremony before going around town with some
of the wildest old buildings I’d seen in awhile. Sadly I just heard the orange one in the photos below
will be torn down.

Tiffany’s father, Brad, showed just how much he loved his daughter all day starting with the First Look as did
Ralph at the ceremony.

Tiffany: ” My dad is just an extremely emotional person. He isn’t afraid to show his emotion and that is rare
these days. Hands down one of the kindest individuals that you will ever meet. I am finding that my
new husband is the same way! 🙂 I love the raw real emotion. We use to joke with dad that I would
have to carry him down the aisle or that maybe he should stay home and just send a check for my wedding.
He did great getting me down the aisle and held it together until the very end. I felt bad that he was so
overwhelmed with emotion, but at the same time I want him to know that he has shown me that real men aren’t
afraid to cry or show that they care.”

This is a rare quality and Tiffany’s lucky to have two men in her life like this.

When we left Fremont the most important location for the couple to take photos was the Coffee Express in Port
Clinton. Here’s the story of why from Tiffany but first with a bit about meeting at Put in Bay first
while on guys and girls trips at the time:

“At the end of the night, we decided that we would meet the next day for breakfast before we each went our
separate ways. Ralph back to Cleveland and me back to Michigan. We met at the Jet Express the next
morning and went to the Coffee Express. We each had a friend with us: Shannon and Rob and they helped
ease our nerves but Ralph was nothing less than his charming self. Afterwards everyone needed to head
home so with the absolute most awkward goodbye kiss in the history of dates we each went our separate ways.

“Ralph being spontaneous always believes in seizing the moment. He wasn’t ready for the date to end and
wanted to see me again. When he got back to Cleveland, he called and said, “I can be in Ann Arbor by
6, can I take you to dinner tonight?” I agreed to let him come to Ann Arbor, but at the same time I sort
of thought he was joking. Before I knew it, he was calling to say he was just getting off the exit.

“After that night, we were pretty much inseparable. We would commute back and forth between Ohio and
Michigan on the weekends until Ralph asked me to move back to Ohio. I love Cleveland so it was easy for
me to make my decision. Not only did I have most of my friends and all of my favorite sports teams, but
now I had an amazing man in my favorite city!”

Love Tiffany’s telling of their story!

She had some great thoughts on why she chose a Catawba Island Club wedding too: “I knew I wanted a
place with character and I was looking for something different than four walls in a ballroom. What a
view! Since we met in the island area it made sense to go back where it all began and we love to be
around the water. If those two reasons weren’t enough, the only date left in 2018 to get married at CIC
just happened to be the two year anniversary of the weekend that we met! It was beautiful, classy, elegant and pure.”
