Cathy and Brian’s wedding day was a rainy and fun one.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
I can’t imagine a better couple to be with on a rainy day.
They were so easy going about everything and clearly adore each other.
Cathy called me soon after they were engaged to make engagement photos.
She didn’t have a date for quite awhile but she wanted to get
some photos as they are very important to her.
The ceremony was at the Church In Aurora.
Cathy was a bit nervous before the First Look
and this relaxed her so much.
Brian was happy to see Cathy enter the ceremony with her father, Viktor.
The church was built in 1870 and I love the architecture.
Father Kevin performed the ceremony.
The day was very rainy and we found a spot where we
could stay somewhat dry – until the rain started coming in sideways.
Dani and Tiffany bustled the dress to keep the bottom dry.
Brian gave the groomsmen Louisville Sluggers as gifts on the wedding day.
The sideways rain had us retreating deeper for cover.
We got a few photos before a major dark cloud arrived with
heavy rain and we decided to get to the reception.
Cathy’s father brought her flowers and accidentally knocked over a candelabra.
The reception at Sherwin Gilmour had many courses of wonderful food
and is typically a Russian restaurant.
Cathy said, “I’m Russian (born and raised) and Brian is Polish,
so we really wanted food that was part of our heritage and upbringing.
The food served is something I grew up eating.”
Dani gave a fun toast and Michael’s was very emotional for Brian.
Dani feeds Tiffany a bite of food as Brian and his nephew Tyler watched.
Brian’s nephew Isaac decided to try and figure out why Brian
was just under Cathy’s dress before the garter toss.
The guys went outside for cigars at the end of the night.
Thank you,
