At this point I’ve done quite a few surprise proposals and this was my first Cleveland Christmas proposal!
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
Technically it was in Strongsville but for this blog post I will be using Cleveland Christmas proposal.
Plus it’s my first one in Strongsville as most proposals I have done tend to be in Cleveland.
When I get a message about a proposal I always have some helpful tips for how to make it work out perfectly.
With the timing as well as the backdrops for great photos. If someone reaches out to do this we all want it to go well.
Often people don’t think to document this important step toward marriage. I’m often hearing “oh I will
we would have thought to do this” and it is becoming slightly more common the last few years.
Corey messaged me about his surprised proposal with Liz and wanted to be at the Strongsville Commons with all
the Christmas lights. They always do a beautiful job with all of the displays there.
One of the big features is their large gazebo so that’s where Corey wanted to do the proposal. He sent me some
photos to give me an idea of what it would be like.
I got there a few minutes before their arrival time to scout locations for portraits after the proposal plus
different angles with the gazebo.
One of their parents saw me and pointed out they were about 100 feet away and making their way over. Their
parents Sue and John, Stella and Dan and Liz’s daughter Charlotte were all there. Afterwards they would be going to
dinner to celebrate.
They already had a reservation about 15 minutes away so I knew it would be fairly brief with the proposal
and portrait time just under an hour.
Once everyone was on the gazebo Corey quickly let Liz know what was happening as everyone took cellphone
photos and videos and I documented the Cleveland Christmas proposal with my cameras.
As usually happens it takes a few minutes before the bride to be even notices I’m there photographing them.
It’s such a fun thing to witness the excitement of the couple.
People walking by were happy to witness it as well as they made their way to the gazebo. They patiently
waited as we finished taking photos. Then we walked around the area taking photos before they went off to dinner.
My streak continues on the person being asked saying yes! A successful Cleveland Christmas proposal.
Thank you for viewing the photos of this Cleveland Christmas proposal,
