Melissa and Ricky had a wonderful Cleveland Museum Of Natural History Wedding.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
Melissa and Ricky are a super sweet couple and we were all excited for their Cleveland Museum Of Natural History wedding. It was
so much fun doing the engagement session at their apartment building in downtown Cleveland and I was looking forward
to their wedding.
We started with getting ready photos at the Courtyard Marriott in University Circle.
Melissa chose a 1950s dress from Miranda’s Vintage Bridal and brought it to life almost 70 years later!
They did a first look outside the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland – what a cool building. I loved getting some wider photos
in addition to the close ups to highlight them in front of the architecture.
After this we went with the bridal party for portraits around the Cleveland Museum of Art and an abandoned building where I’d just
seen some fresh graffiti with a Cleveland reference.
When we got there some of the places I wanted to used were occupied with a film crew making some sort of gangster film.
Then we were off just in time for the ceremony at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. This was such a fun backdrop for a wedding
and a special place for the couple.
Melissa: “We chose the Natural History Museum for our ceremony and reception because we both grew up going there as kids and together
as we were dating.”
Melissa had one small mishap: “When I was walking back up the aisle I wiped out and ripped the back of my dress. Planner Brandi from
All Events Planned came to the rescue and sewed me back up!”
Everyone dined and danced surround by the dinosaurs for a wonderful night.
Melissa is assisted by her mother Marci.
The first look!
That dinosaur tie was perfect.
The cake cutter was from Melissa’s great grandfather’s bakery in Hartford, Connecticut.
