Doubletree Cleveland Wedding

Lucy and Dave’s Doubletree Hotel Wedding was at the wonderful Tudor Arms Hotel. I’ve photographed many weddings here, and I always love the challenge of making beautiful photos as a place I’ve been to so many times.

The space is so perfect for a wedding, and the staff at Tudor Arms Events always does a great job.

The couple wanted to stay inside for all of the photos since it was a cold spring day, and that was not an issue there with all of the backdrops.
The getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all flow so well together.

I’ll let Lucy take over with some thoughts: “We were engaged for about a year and a half so we had a good amount of time to plan for the wedding. We live in Arizona and our parents were a huge help in planning the wedding. We really didn’t have a lot of the typical wedding planning stress you often hear about and I greatly attribute that to our families.

“I had the Tudor Arms in the back of my mind since my friend got married there the year before. When I saw the venue in person, I immediately knew this was our place. I flew home one weekend to look at wedding dresses and venues with my mom, mother-in-law, Dave’s sister and aunt. We saw about eight different venues all in one day and had the best time together!

“Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more! The whole day was very relaxed and filled with so much joy. Our ceremony as a whole was our favorite moment of the day. It was so special to see the room filled with our friends and family. We were especially grateful to everyone who traveled to celebrate with us. We had quite a few friends come all the way from Arizona!

“The musicians also added a beautiful touch to the ceremony. The song I walked down the aisle to was “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake, which is our favorite worship song. We wanted the focus of the day to be centered on the love God has given us through each other and through our family and friends. The reception was also such a fun part of the day. We loved dancing the night away with everyone. At the beginning of the reception, my father surprised us with the mascots from our Alma mater, Freddie and Freda, at Bowling Green University. This was so fun and special, as this was the place where we met and started dating. We are now considered “Falcon Flames” after getting married!”

Lucy’s mother Lisa helped with the dress.

Bridesmaid Anna checked the veil.

I loved this emotional moment between the ladies.

Dave’s mother, Kelly, and Lucy’s mother, Lisa, lit candles.

Lucy’s father Jeff walked her down the aisle.

Bridesmaid Skylar and Lucy were red hot on the dance floor!
