You have only to meet Noora and Ahmad once, to know that this couple’s style is exceeded only by their charm.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We met downtown at the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland in the historic Higbee Building for some portraits before the reception.
There, our oh so fashionable and chic engagement session
with Noora and Ahmad at Cleveland’s Cultural Gardens was soon to be topped!

But finishing looking at these first!)
Ahmad gained us entry into the Diamond Lounge at the casino. What a glamorous setting!
That Saturday afternoon the Ohio State football game had the place busier than usual,
but everyone was sweet and loving the couple.
Noora was mistaken for actress Penelope Cruz a few times; she does resemble her!
Ahmad’s tuxedo was a specially made Italian garment by Joseph Scafidi
while Noora’s dress was a Pronovias from Barcelona, Spain.
Ahmad with a photo of actor Paul Newman, who was originally from Shaker Heights.
The lounge is decked out with photos of several famous Ohioans.
Singer-songwriter Anita Baker is behind the couple in this series. She was born in Toledo.
Noora is framed by actors Tyrone Powers, born in Cincinnati and Clark Gable of Cadiz.
Old movie fans will appreciate my lighting in a film noir style.
As we walked through Tower City to head outside the couple attracted lots of attention.
Friend Linda and sister Farah helped us.
The bouquet was made with peonies.
I loved how each of the bridesmaids’ dresses were unique and yet went so well together!
Noora’s father, Tawfiq, gives her a kiss as her brother, Saleh,
looks on before they depart for the reception
at Weymouth Country Club in Medina.
The couple was surrounded by friends and family as they danced.
Noora’s sister, Farah, embraces her.
The couple sits on a couch which Noora tells me is traditional as opposed to a head table.
“They wouldn’t consider it to be a nice thing to sit behind a table
when you’re wearing a beautiful tux and dress.”
After the slow dance the couple switched rings at the reception.
Noora dances with her father, Tawfiq.
Her Uncles Tariq and Maan also danced with Noora and it was an emotional moment.
The Mom’s dance is another tradition and Noora looks to her mother, Lina, while Ahmad and his mother, Dina, dance as well.
The dance floor was full of energy and people all night.
Ahmad’s parents Dina and Kamal dance.
