John Carroll + Michaud’s Wedding | Kayla + Anthony

John Carroll + Michaud’s Wedding

Kayla and Anthony’s John Carroll + Michaud’s wedding was lovely.

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

We started the day at John Carroll University where the couple married at St. Francis Chapel before heading to
Coe Lake in Berea and another favorite spot nearby for portraits. From there it was my first time at Michaud’s
in Strongsville.

Kayla and Anthony have been together since 8th grade and shared lots of details about their long term love with
me. Below will all be quotes from her!

“It is pretty safe to say that we have been dreaming of this day since December 2012. Boy, did it live up to our
dream, if not better. It is laughable to see how the image we created in our brains as 13 year olds changed as we
grew together into adulthood. As kids, we were imagining our peers from school filling up the church and reception
hall because that was all that we knew at the time. When our dream came to life, though, we saw it was actually our
dearest family and closest friends that celebrated our love with us that day.

“When it was time to go to college we did not plan on going to the same school together. In fact that was a tiny
worry of mine if we would happen to drift apart during college. Somehow, we both gravitated to John Carroll University.
When Anthony proposed, we knew that our ceremony just had to be at St. Francis. We had already made so many memories and
we both grew in our faith there.

“Looking for our venue was not as easy though. We shopped around and then found Michaud’s. I was absolutely drawn
to the amazing Grand Ballroom that stayed within our budget. Not only were we happy to have our wedding there because of
its beauty but it also happens to be the venue where my parents got married along with multiple cousins on Kayla’s side.

“The reception would not have looked as beautiful if it weren’t for my mom, Dawn. She made every centerpiece, every
bouquet, the photo backdrop and more. She and the rest of our parents helped to make the day absolutely magical. We got to
have our first dance twice due to an incorrect version being played first and we had the honor and privilege of dancing to a
song that my grandma Virginia introduced to me before she passed away.

“It felt like a gift to have that song, Il Mondo, picked out by my grandma because Nana had always talked about
wanting to live long enough to see Kayla get married. Many of our grandparents were not able to be there that day in person
although they all would have been overjoyed to see us wed. Those were Anthony’s grandparents Ethel and Richard and Joanne
and Lou and my grandparents Virginia and Frank. It was a blessing to have my Grandma Dot be in attendance. We are elated to
have captured that moment with her in a picture. We danced the night away and are currently living in the happiest time of our lives.”

Okay now enjoy those photos if you haven’t already looked!

Sister Jessica helped Anthony with his jacket.

Father Gary walked Kayla down the aisle.

“Look a duck!”

Bridesmaid Nicole tooka photo of Jessica, Cari, Olivia and Megan at their photo booth.

Rachel caught the bouquet.

Groomsman Zach caught the garter.

Trane put the garter on Rachel as high as possible for “more years of good luck for the couple”.

Flower girls Giavanna and Naomi danced with the couple.

Kayla danced with Taylor and Maddy.

Kayla hugged her sister Alyssa and mother Dawn.

Anthony surprised everyone when he did his worm dance move later in the evening.
