Great couples make my job fun and Julie and Nathan are a great couple!
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
It’s no secret that I like finding reflections in photos.
It keeps me looking beyond the obvious and always aware of my surroundings.
I think this is important as a wedding photographer or for any photographer.
Every wedding is different and also has similar elements at the same time.
I try to focus (no pun intended) on the couple’s personality and surroundings.
When I saw Nathan’s Johnny Cash poster I started thinking
about making it work in a photo somehow. At first my thought was
to have it in the background and then I decided to go a step beyond that.
Julie is helped with her dress by her matron of honor Erika.
This old chest made a great resting place for the shoes.
Julie was definitely feeling some deep and
joyful emotions about the day ahead.
Nathan and his best man Nathan check the final details.
The date etched in Nathan’s ring will be a great reminder in the years to come.
The guys hung out for a few photos at the former Hoover Company
factory in North Canton before the wedding.
Julie’s eyes are always sparkling.
Micah was the flower girl and made for great photos
which you’ll see again a few photos down.
Julie’s brother Dave walked her down the aisle.
The ceremony and reception were at the North Canton Civic Center.
We stayed there for the portraits after the ceremony.
I love how Micah and the ring bearer Brayden took off to explore the trees.
These moments happened naturally and they weren’t aware I
was watching them. So glad their families will have these
moments for many years to come!
Julie and Nathan displayed one of my photos at the reception.
Lots of great dessert choices!
Nathan dances with his mother Cheryl.
Nathan writes short stories and brought a few typewriters for display.
I think old typewriter keys have such a classic look and had to do a
photo with the rings on them.
I’m sure some of the younger crowd had never seen a typewriter before
and I’m feeling really old thinking about that.
This wedding cake cookie was so delicious!
A quick photo of the newly married couple before they
bowed out during the Anniversary dance to determine what
couple had been married the longest.
Groomsman (and still a boy) Connor found his game system more interesting than cake.
Thanks for letting me part of your day Julie and Nathan!
