Everything worked out perfectly for us when Kristin and Sherri were back in the Chicago area from their current Oklahoma home.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
Their friend Marykim and Kris (whose wedding I shot last year) owns
this amazing bed and breakfast “The Paper Doll House” and we met there
for engagement photos in Sycamore, IL. I love the architecure of this
1883 home. What an interesting history! It was built as a wedding present
to Mary Boynton Townsend. Hints of their wedding are embedded in the
architecture of the home: wedding bells and bows embossed in the hearth
and mantle of fireplaces, brass cherubs and bouquets in the crown moldings.
Marykim told me the previous owner of the home
said this chandelier would take a day to clean and after taking it apart she
found it was more like a week of work! He said if he told her the truth he
thought she would never attempt to clean it.
If you find yourself in the Chicago area be sure to book a night or two
(especially if you love scrapbooking!) at The Paper Doll House!
