Lakewood Country Club Wedding

Katy and Alex had a beautiful Lakewood Country Club wedding.

This was my first time photographing a Lakewood Country Club wedding. I enjoyed looking for a few spots off the beaten path of the
golf course as well as some picturesque locations on the golf course.

As I edited the photos I was really struck by the loving way Alex was always looking at Katy.

We started with everyone getting ready in the beautiful new clubhouse. Then it was time for a first look and portraits with the wedding
party. The ceremony was just outside the clubhouse where the cocktail hour and reception were held.

Katy: “We wanted an outdoor ceremony and reception at the same venue. We liked the tree in the background for the ceremony and the
stonework on the patio. The open room layout and the fact that guests could wander between the outdoor patio and the bar. Then after
the reception from dance floor to the fire at the patio outside through the open wall.”

I found the couple to be excellent dancers and asked if they had professional lessons for their first dance. Katy said “Not specifically
for the wedding dance. A few years ago we took general ballroom dancing lessons. We made up our own from watching others on YouTube
dancing to our song and practiced at home.”

They chose my photo booth and created a custom backdrop. Katy was the designer and decorator and Alex created the copper pipe frame.
Katy: “We liked the look of the bare copper pipe wrapped in vines and flowers with the berry colored backdrop to match our wedding
colors. We tried to be crafty and make our own dyed sheet for the backdrop, but it turned out that a shower curtain matched our
colors better in the end.”

These photos were when the couple were both three years old.

They had lots of fun at the photo booth.

I found them dancing on the patio under the full moon.
