Little Italy has so many cute restaurants and bakeries with delicious food. It’s always a great backdrop with their
old brick streets and neon signs. I did some Little Italy Cleveland engagement session photos here in January on a very
cold day so the warmer weather for this was welcomed.
We started in a restaurant called Home Bistro for a few photos before it was busy there at dinner time. While I wish
we had time to eat there and need to stop by in the future.
This made everyone hungry so we stopped at Presti’s Bakery for some cannolis. Maria and Ross shared one on
the steps of Holy Rosary Church.
We then went into one of their favorite date night places: Guarino’s Restaurant. Their website says they
are the oldest restaurant in Cleveland operating over 100 years. After some photos on the patio and at the bar we finished
up the Little Italy Cleveland engagement photos.
The historic and cultural charm of the neighborhood had been there since it started in the late 19th century. The art
galleries and shops are also places to enjoy some time when you’re not sampling the Italian food. I already mentioned the bakeries
like Presti’s and Corbo’s which always have some yummy treats.
The Feast of Assumption parade always draws a large crowd and plenty of colorful characters. The Parish of Holy Rosary
has hosted the event for 124 years.
After our Little Italy Cleveland engagement session we were off to Severance Hall for a few photos outside the building before the sun set.
I’m certainly looking forward to the Cleveland City Hall wedding.
Fun facts: My son Harrison was on a little league team with Ross who showed his baseball skills early on. Thereafter he
played in high school and college. I’ve also photographed his sister Lindsay’s senior photos. I was excited when their
mother Anne got me in touch with Maria’s mother Ann Marie about the wedding. It will be so fun to see many Rocky River
friends from over the years at the wedding! Just yesterday I was walking in the neighborhood and saw one of Ross’s
groomsmen, Michael, and heard of some people that will be there.
