Kris and Mike had a beautiful Mentor Headlands wedding ceremony.

Covid-19 changed their original plans. They were supposed to be married in Antigua and before that the Barbados
but their borders were not opening so they switched.
Kris: “Due to Covid and Mike’s dad, Jim, and my dad Jack’s health we were unable to go. We decided on a beach
wedding because we wanted to keep it the same as the destination wedding that was supposed to happen. The day was
very relaxing for us – beautiful and picture perfect. We wanted a smaller, more private intimate ceremony so a
Mentor Headlands wedding worked out well.
“With the help of Mike’s parents and my two good friends, Jessica and Megan, I was able to plan a wedding in a
little over a week. They made our day extra special and were on top of everything.” Her friends also helped with
lighting assistance on a photo at the reception as you will see.
I had not been to Mentor Headlands in many years so it was fun to come up with some exciting photos utilizing
the boardwalk.
After the ceremony and some portraits they held their reception at Quail Hollow Resort.
Kris: “The balloons were a symbol of our deceased relatives especially my mother, Jan, who passed away of
cancer last summer. I wanted to incorporate a poem and release of the balloons and memory of them versus doing
the bubbles or bird seed at the end of the wedding. I thought this was different and more memorable. I truly
believe my mom was smiling down that day!”
