Occasions Party Centre Wedding | Rachel + John

Occasions Party Centre Wedding

Rachel and John brought me to my first Occasions Party Centre Wedding.

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

After four downtown Cleveland weddings in a row it was nice to get out to rural Ohio. Our end of the
night photo is not rain-that’s what I like to call “love bugs” flying around them. This Occasions Party Centre
wedding in New Franklin is almost 60 miles straight south in Summit County.

We started at the 15 acre property where John and his family have lived for quite awhile moving in the day before
he was born.

When I saw the large and beautiful pond with the walkways I knew that would be a great location for the first
look and portraits.

After we were done there we went to Occasions for more portraits plus the ceremony and reception.

There was lots of spirited dancing all night and a few of my favorite moments are represented. Here’s some
stories about them from Rachel: “A lot of people thought our friend Albert had over consumed because he was running
all over the place and dancing and grinding with everyone. But he really wasn’t, that’s how Albert is all the
time and just likes to make everyone laugh and have fun. John’s mom and cousin jumped up on the ledge of the
dance floor when “Yeah!” by Usher came on. Then John’s sister, me and our friend Sarah joined them, and it was
a Coyote Ugly moment. I’m a lot more passive of a person, so it was pretty funny for me to get up there and dance
with them, especially with all the guys cheering us on from the dance floor.” You’ll see what she’s talking about below.

Now on with the photos!

Rachel’s mother, Cristina, put on the heart pin made from her maternal grandpa’s shirt.

The first look:

Rachel used lots of shells on the reception tables with her sea theme so I had to use one for the ring photo.

Kori and Heather danced while Lily did her own thing.

Here’s Albert who did his best to get me dancing too.

The Coyote Ugly moment lasted a short while until a bartender came running over to get them down.

I loved that this photo captured both sets of parents with the couple. John’s parents, Janice and Gerald on the left,
and Rachel’s parents, Cristina and David.
