Old Courthouse wedding in Cleveland

I’ve done quite a few Old Courthouse weddings in Cleveland. This is definitely one of my favorites! I think the number
of photos on this blog is a new record for me so that’s proof right there.

When I met Lexi and John at their engagement session I knew they were a sweet couple. That translated into great fun on the wedding
day. However I had no idea how much fun they would be with their family and friends.

We started at the Hilton which is the go to place when you’re getting married. It’s across the street for an Old Courthouse wedding
in Cleveland. Makeup was just being finished for the ladies so I got to work on some details and candids. John was with his
parents and groomsmen for some photos. Then he was sent off to the front of the Old Courthouse for the first look photo.

After that we were off to the Cleveland Museum of Art. That’s always a classic portrait time location with the bridal party. It’s always fun
photographing there and I love the challenge of coming up with something new each time. We had a bit more time than usual and
that’s a big plus in being able to be creative and not rushing everything. There was even enough time for a few photos of the
couple at the Cultural Gardens.

Then it was off to the Old Courthouse.

Lexi: “John and I booked the Old Courthouse for our wedding the day after we got engaged. That was because we instantly fell in love
with the venue and knew it was where we wanted to tie the knot.”

Lexi’s Aunt is Maria of Elegant Events by Maria. She always makes a wedding even more gorgeous than expected.

“We could not have planned the wedding without my Aunt Maria. We were thrilled to see everything come together so brilliantly.
It’s extra special that we got to spend our special night alongside Maria. Plus those that helped make our wedding the best day of
our lives.”

John had something to share about the day: “I got grief from every angle possible about having a wedding while the Masters
golf tournament was going on. I never brought it up to Lexi and I’m banking some major brownie points for that.” John is a smart guy!

Toward the end of the night Lexi through her bouquet from the second floor. I hadn’t seen this done at the Old Courthouse
before. “I was SO nervous to fall off the balcony or have terrible aim when I threw my bouquet off the balcony but our wedding
coordinator, Ebony, held my legs and my sister in law, Katie, caught the bouquet!”

The couple did a last dance after everyone was sent outside for a sparkler sendoff. What a great day and night!!!!!

Erica from Beauty Therapy does a last touchup on Lexi.

John with his parents Michael and Cheryl.

Sister and maid of honor Emily and mother Dana helped with his dress.

Father Dwight loved seeing Lexi in her dress.

Dana, grandmother Nada and Lexi were getting emotional. Aunt Maria tried to keep the mood light before Lexi needed to have her makeup redone.

Here’s a new pose I created I call the Flying X. It takes the right amount of space and bridal party to work. It may or may not be the new hot trend!

Those columns! I haven’t seen a photo like this at the Art Museum before. Someone else must have done it though!

Away from everyone arriving for the ceremony the couple did private vows. It was a wonderful moment for them.

Forest Wood Events florals were gorgeous and really made the room unique.

Emily and best man Brian each gave a toast.

The last dance.
