Stacey and Mike enjoyed Severance Hall Wedding Portraits before their reception at smARTspace at 78th.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We started with Stacey getting ready at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Cleveland. Then it was off to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic
church on the west side of Cleveland. The ceremony started late as the hotel valet couldn’t find a bridesmaid’s car keys.
Stacey: “The valet had them the whole time!! My friend even had a keychain on her keys that said ”Don’t lose these keys!” – so
funny.”
After we did the Severance Hall wedding portraits we visited Stacey’s grandmother Adelle at a nearby care facility. Stacey: “I
wanted to make sure my Grandma was a part of the wedding so it was really important to us that we went to see her on our
special day. Even though it didn’t seem like she knew who we were I think she did, because she saved the small bouquet of
flowers I gave her. :)”
Stacey and Mike are both artistic which made this wedding even more fun. I’ve loved getting to know them and talking about music and art.
Stacey is a self taught artist that was always around art since both her parents, Pamela and Ronald, are artists. Mike went to
the Cleveland Institute of Art and also had a gallery for nine years at W. 78th Studios where their reception was held.
It was a family project making the photo booth backdrop.
Stacey: “I found a photo of a couple sitting on moon on Instagram when I was looking for wedding inspiration. Then I found Paper
Moon Shoppe – a photo booth company located in Southern California. I emailed them (super nice people!) and told them
I needed to purchase a moon. My Dad made the backdrop on canvas and the medium was oil paint and Mike made the clouds
with wood and acrylic paint. As soon as I saw the moon I knew it would be perfect for our vintage themed wedding plus we
love the movies and old Hollywood glamour and the moon definitely has that feel.”
She also made the card box and pinatas.
Stacey finished getting ready with Maid of Honor Amanda.
The couple visited Grandma Adelle and her Aunt MaryAnn helped.
A few portraits in Hedge Gallery at W. 78th Street Studios.
Best man Steven gave a toast.
“The dance with my dad Ronald was a surprise/shock! When I was little he would swing me around to Bobby Darin’s music.
Definitely doesn’t work in heels!”
Mike danced with his mother Marilyn.
Love the bridal party moment at the photo booth.
Love this neon art by local artist Dana DePew.
