St. Christopher Parish Wedding | Melissa + Joe

St. Christopher Parish Wedding

Melissa and Joe had a splendid St. Christopher Parish wedding.

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

We started with Joe getting ready at the home of his parents before meeting Melissa at the church.

After their ceremony at St. Christopher Parish we were off for portraits at the Huntington Beach Reservation of the Cleveland
Metroparks.

I was lucky to meet the couple while photographing an event that had Puente’s Tijuana Tacos providing food. If you see them
you must try their super tasty tacos. They are not the normal tacos! The owner Mark was an excellent reporter I worked with
at the Plain Dealer and it was great to see him again. He mentioned a few people helping him were getting married the next year
and thought I would do a great job for them. We met and they were both super nice so it was a success!

The couple first met through Mark’s children Ryan and Amanda.

Melissa: “Joe went to elementary school with the Puentes and have been friends since then. I met Amanda and Ryan at my
very first job. Amanda became one of my best friends after we taught together at the same school.”

Joe: “We chose St. Christopher because we both were looking for a local church. They were very welcoming throughout the
entire process. Melissa actually met our priest to discuss becoming Catholic on the first visit to the church.”

Melissa: “Father Marshall was very supportive through our journey. Joe was my sponsor through the process and I was
confirmed at St. Christopher at the Easter Vigil mass.

“Tricia of Coyne Catering also really helped us a lot with our planning and the execution of everything. The quality
of the food was a major factor in our decision as well as our experience with her. She was always eager to answer all of our
questions. We decided on St. Demetrios because of the space, outdoor patio for guests and flexibility.”

One of my favorite things during dessert time was that they had 16 different flavors of Mitchell’s Ice Cream for everyone!

Joe and best man Ahmed get everything just right.

Melissa’s mother Lucille helped her get ready at St. Christopher Parish.

A charm with Melissa’s father Thomas was on her bouquet.

Grayson and Mason made an important announcement.

Melissa’s Uncle Kevin walked her down the aisle.

Joe’s cousin Ellie and her daughter Maya walk to their seats after Holy Communion.
