Jordan and Kyle’s Tenk West Bank wedding was massive fun!
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We started with getting ready photos with the groom and then the bride at her grandparents’ house. St. Michael’s Catholic
Church was just a few minutes away and then we went to the Cleveland Museum of Art for portraits before the reception at
Tenk West Bank.
Jordan had so much information for the blog post I’m going to share a lot now:
“I have been planning/dreaming of my wedding since I was a little girl. It’s crazy because Kyle wasn’t even sure he would
get married but wanted to be super involved and was excited about the planning which I did not expect!
“Because of Covid and the delays in weddings, almost everything was booked up or on back order so we originally wanted a
September wedding. A winter wedding made us nervous because of the colder weather but once the day came we were so happy
that we ended up having one. It was perfect!
“Surprisingly not one thing went wrong. I always heard horror stories about the florals being wrong, the venue getting
things wrong, the time frame issues, etc but we had so many amazing vendors and people around us that made every single thing
run without a hitch!
“I picked Tenk West Bank because I was so used to going to either hotel weddings or barn weddings and I just wanted
something completely different and cool. I thought the exposed brick/warehouse was so different and fun.
Some other things about the day: “For my dress I was 10,000% convinced I wanted something super simple, slim fitting
and not fluffy. When we went to my first and only dress fitting at Radiant Bride in Rocky River my sister Allie had me try on
one poofy one to just rule it out for sure and that was the dress I ended up falling in love with and wearing. It was only the
second dress I tried on and the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted!
“I went to the wedding convention in Cleveland and told myself I was just going to get inspiration, not to buy anything.
The second I stepped into the Joy Bird Photo Booth I put a downpayment down because it was so unique and fun.
One last thing about the day: “The drag queen’s name was Monica Lexin – she was a complete and the best surprise! For
so long I’ve been obsessed with drag queens- the drama, make-up, hair, entertainment and the fact that they always make sure
everyone is having the best time. It was the one thing I wanted and my mom, aunt and sisters made it happen without me knowing.
I loved it!”
Kyle’s father Ben helped him get ready.
Kyle got ready with Jordan’s brothers Nathan, Frankie and Josh.
Jordan and Kyle’s dog Jack even got ready.
Kyle hugged her mother Erika after getting her dress zipped up.
Kyle’s nephew Leo liked what he saw.
Jordan’s sisters Allie and Lilli were the maids of honor.
Jordan did a first look with her father Tom.
Jordan passed through her grandmother Janet’s room which she calls the Chapel.
The couple’s mothers Erika and Kim had a moment during the ceremony.
The Swensons food truck was a hit with everyone.
Jordan was surprised when drag queen Monica Lexin made an appearance!
