After their engagement session I knew the wedding day was going to be exciting! Megan and
Jerald are truly one of the sweetest and caring couples I have ever photographed. So nice to be around
and Megan is also one of the most organized brides ever. I would guess she was a wedding planner if I
didn’t know better.

Here’s the story of how they met from Megan: “We both were training at Strong Style Training
Center when he first approached me. I actually ran away from him at first because I was gross after
sparring. The gym then closed due to the pandemic but we ended up connecting on social media a couple
months later.  We went on our first date during the pandemic and everything being closed made us be
more creative with our first date. We went to the beach for dinner but then a storm came through. It
was an incredible first date!”

Jerald added this: “The storm helped make it incredible because we just embraced it and had
so much fun despite the conditions. Certainly a moment we both hold dearly.”

So back to the wedding day. We started with getting ready photos of the ladies at the Bertram
Inn and then went to St. Borromeo Church for the ceremony. Then their first stop was a bar nearby called
Sloppy Bobs. What a name! Megan planned on staying outside to keep her dress clean but everyone got her
to go inside for a shot of something that wasn’t water.

Megan: “Sloppy Bob’s was a small bar at the top of our street where we would go for drinks
occasionally. Just a fun place and a great name! We thought starting off the party bus with a shot there
seemed appropriate.”

After this we hit the Cleveland Metroparks for some bridal party photos before making it to
the Bertram Inn.

Megan again: “Jerald and I only looked at three venues with the Bertram being the third place.
We loved the hotel being attached to the ballroom and the venue offering a pool for the guests. We wanted a
place where everyone could make a long weekend of the trip, stay the night and not worry about having to drive
anywhere. Knowing the Bertram had been hosting weddings for a long time made us feel more comfortable and be
able to utilize their expertise when planning.”

I was happy to see the hotel’s coordinator was Marsha Newman. I’d met her years earlier when she
had a wonderful wedding band called “The Art Company Orchestra” with her sweet husband Art.

Okay if you’re still reading now it’s time for some photos!

Lindsey Vonsur finished Megan’s makeup.

Maid of honor/sister Paige helped with her earrings.

Mother Tammy and Paige walked the bride to the bus.

First look with her dad Jim.

A shot at Sloppy Bob’s!

Groomsmen Logan, Casey and Tyler made quite the entrance. They pretended one guy tossed a bowling
ball at them and then fell down.

This cardboard cutout was from a birthday several years earlier and was later seen on the dance floor.

Jerald danced with Megan’s mother, Tammy.

This had the family feeling very emotional as they watched.

Friend Emily was double teamed by Megan’s visage!
