Tess and Aaron had a super fun Westin Cleveland Wedding!
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We had so much fun doing engagement photos so I knew the wedding day would be a wild one!
We started with getting ready photos at the Westin before the ceremony down the street at the
Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist.
Tess did a first look with her father, Ken, and brother Britt while mother Mary
Kay looked on and it was wonderful.
Family is important to the couple and both had brothers that played an important part in their day.
Tess: ” A little unconventional but my Man of Honor was my brother Britt. Britt and I have always
been close since day one. Britt may come across as shy and quiet; however, to me, he’s been a best friend,
joke-teller, and confidant. I’ve been incredibly lucky to grow up with such amazing brothers around me.
“Aaron’s best man was his twin brother, Matthew aka Bradley Cooper as some wedding guests called him.
He is extremely outgoing and the life of the party. He’s been a constant support for Aaron their whole life
and never skipped a beat in that support when I joined the crew. Matthew keeps us on our toes with his jokes
and conspiracy theory conversations, but we’re so grateful for him!
“Aaron and I wanted to have the best party after we got married so all along our intention was to keep
the energy up. We took months of dance lessons so that we could get the party started with our first dance.
While we got a little nervous there, we absolutely crushed it jumping on stage and singing “Summer of ’69”
with the Element!
“It was one of the coolest moments of the night to look out at our guests dancing and singing along with
us. While we kept the energy up, we were also able to sneak in very sentimental moments in our day. We were able
to honor and acknowledge moments very important to us, such as the presence of Aaron’s late mom, Dawn, and my
father-daughter dance.”
Aaron’s twin brother Matthew gave a touching toast. “Matthew was there the day we met. He is the primary
reason that Aaron and I met and talked the night we met at Corner Alley. In his speech, he reminded the guests
of this: “There comes a time in everyone’s life when they meet their forever plus one, someone who strives to
push them and help them to be their very best, the one person who will always understand them even when no words
are spoken. And that moment came for Aaron 29 years ago when he first met me. I’m not sure Tess ever quite knew
what she was getting into when she first started dating Aaron. Mine and Tess’s first interaction included some
ice cubes and french fries and well pretty much the rest is history.”
“We knew we wanted to have our reception at a hotel to add safety to an open bar party. But ultimately,
it was the Westin’s team that sold us on working with them and the beautiful venue they have. From the glass staircase
to the light bulb fixture. We just had to have the touch of electricity with the chandeliers since Aaron is an electrician.
Tess said they wanted to keep the excitement going so they picked out a Rottweiler puppy two days after
getting back from their honeymoon. “We’re just getting out of the sleep deprivation stage but wouldn’t change
any of it for the world. “
