Toledo Engagement Session | Laura + Sam

Toledo Engagement Session

Laura and Sam did a Toledo engagement session!

Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer

What brought us to Toledo you ask? Well the couple lives in the Detroit area and wanted to meet
somewhere a bit more in the middle and it just so happened I was photographing an event in Toledo later
that day so it made sense. Their wedding will be in Sandusky which is also a first for me!

I did some online scouting for Toledo backdrops and found some cool spots we didn’t get to so if
anyone wants a Toledo engagement session let me know.

We met near the Toledo Museum of Art as I wanted to start with the art by the Spanish artist
Jaume Plensa called “Spiegel”. I had photographed another of his works during a wedding day in Des Moines,
Iowa and it’s one of my favorite photos. The title is German for mirror or looking glass. It’s made steel
letters from the Latin alphabet intersperse with Chinese characters and Greek letters.

From there we headed closer to the museum and discovered the Center for the Visual Arts building
designed by Frank O. Gehry. I loved the textures and color that were combined with green glass on parts
of the building.

We spent a good portion of there and just a bit outside the museum. I look forward to another
trip there to create some more photos.

Their wedding in Sandusky promises to be something different. Laura and Sam wanted something
unique and I can’t wait to see what we experience on their day.

Thank you for viewing this Toledo engagement session,
