Old Arcade wedding
I always love a wedding day at the Old Arcade. Bethany and Jonny didn’t want to step outside even once on their day and that’s okay when it’s this historic venue. I usually like to get some outside photos but it all worked out great!
Everyone got ready at Old Arcade aka the Hyatt Arcade and what could be easier than staying there for the wedding too although I did go home at the end of the night!
Bethany: “It was a nice coincidence that the Champions League Final was on the same day. The boys really enjoyed watching the matchup while getting ready for the wedding…and Jonny enjoyed watching some of it through the window while we were in the middle of our photos.
Jonny had a bit of trouble figuring out how to tie a bow tie for the first time. YouTube was not helping so luckily a groomsman’s wife Shayna was able to help as you’ll see in a photo below at their Old Arcade wedding.
“One of Jonny’s groomsmen was already scheduled to get married at The Arcade in 2027 and recommended the venue to us. We reached out and luckily were able to grab one of their last slots for the year. It’s such a beautifully historic venue and we’re so glad we had the opportunity to celebrate there.
“We’re so lucky that friends and family came in from all over: California, Texas, Colorado, Alabama, Connecticut, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. One of the highlights of the wedding was Jonny’s Grandmother attending as she he had just turned 100 years old two weeks prior!
“One of the special moments of the day for Jonny was sharing a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue with all of his groomsmen.
“We were so happy about how smoothly everything went. Everyone had a good time, the mood was very happy, and all of our vendors (especially our photographer) did such a great job.”
Awww thanks and so glad I was at your Old Arcade wedding. I learned a bit more about the couple during the toasts which were fun fact filled!
Some other memories from Bethany: “Dancing to some of our favorite songs with our closest people. Our quick ceremony filled mostly with jokes. And having our dog Copeland as the best-looking groomsman.”
An Old Arcade wedding features golden late 19th century architecture with unique staircases, a glass roof, so many lamp posts, and classic charm. Yes an Old Arcade wedding is great all year round.
Groomsman Jared tossed the ball to Copeland.
Shayna helped with the bow tie and saved the day.
