Cleveland Old Courthouse Wedding | Shaun + Brittany

Cleveland Old Courthouse Wedding

Brittany and Shaun had a super fun Cleveland Old Courthouse wedding.

The Old Courthouse is always a favorite venue of mine and I was happy to be back again.

Shaun: “The Old Courthouse was a special reception venue to us because we both lived in downtown Cleveland for many years.
We would often meet up at local restaurants and bars or go to sporting events nearby.

“Downtown Cleveland is where we truly built our relationship and became friends. We reached out not knowing the availability
and were lucky enough to have an opportunity for the last available 2023 date! It was a weekend we were already looking at
so it was a no-brainer! We love how beautiful and elegant the space is and of course that it was large enough to hold all of
our family and friends who are so special to us.”

During the toasts a small Vanilla Ice cut out figure was brought out.

Brittany: “Shaun’s Best Man and older brother Kevin made sure to put a lot of personal touches in his Best Man Speech. From
mentioning key phrases from a spoof movie critic as well as several movie quotes to boot, to acknowledging our
dog Whiskey (who has his own Instagram account, complete with weekly Wednesday rhymes), Kevin did not hold back.

“While some references may have been inside jokes, unbeknownst to the guests, the Vanilla Ice cut out was a lead-in to the
ever so notorious act of “icing” someone. This happens when someone presents a Smirnoff Ice beverage in an unexpected and usually
clever way to another. As tradition, the receiver is then expected to chug the beverage from his or her knee.

“As a call back to Shaun asking all of his groomsmen to be in his wedding party with the phrase, “If I got down on one knee
to be in our wedding, you can too,” accompanied by a Smirnoff Ice, Kevin saw an opportunity to do what all brothers do: get back at
the other. Disguised within a paint can, Kevin and Vanilla Ice introduced the act and closed out a speech we will never forget.”

When the Cleveland Guardians Hot Dogs showed up the already rocking dance floor really went wild!

Brittany: “Shaun has been a Cleveland (Indians) Guardians Season ticket holder for 12 years, and we love going to the games
together. Shaun’s favorite part of the game is the 5th Inning Hot Dog Derby where he always makes a friendly $5 wager on Ketchup to
win the race. I always choose Onion! Having secured a date and venue, I had an idea to have our own “hot dog derby” at our
reception and reached out to find out more details. Fast forward to surprising Shaun with this secret for Christmas, we looked forward
to having Ketchup, Mustard, and Onion share in our big day.

“No one else knew of this planned appearance which made it all the more fun once the Cleveland Hot Dogs ran out onto the
dance floor. Many guests actually thought Shaun didn’t know they were coming based on his reaction, but we knew the truth!  What
an incredible addition to an already amazing night! The guests loved them!”

Brittany and Shaun’s favorite quote, and the title of a Michael Franti song, is “Life is Better With You.” This phrase has
truly encompassed their relationship and their wedding weekend, and was the final song to close out their wedding as well.

Best man Kevin with Shaun.

Brittany was helped by her mother Helen.

Brittany did a first look with her father Jim and then the bridesmaids.

I love it when my couples get my reception signing album from their engagement session. This is one of my favorites ever!

Matron of honor/sister Elizabeth gave a toast.

The Vanilla Ice toast from best man/brother Kevin.

Brittany’s nephews Jaxon, James and Everett were all very excited to have a front row seat for the special dances.

Shaun danced with his mother Wendy.

The couple cheered on everyone during the Anniversary dance.

The Cleveland Hot Dogs!

Danielle helped with the limbo tie as Shaun lost his balance.
