Maria and Arvin’s Manakiki Golf Course wedding was a beautiful fall wedding with a mansion and scenic backdrop.

A Manakiki Golf Course wedding truly feels like a hidden gem in the Cleveland wedding scene—especially for couples planning a celebration with 50–100+ guests. The getting-ready suites are spacious and comfortable, providing both partners plenty of room to relax before the day begins. The lobby and outdoor areas create an inviting space for cocktail hour, while the reception room offers a timeless, classic atmosphere. The outdoor ceremony site, framed by elegant columns and surrounded by beautiful greenery, is incredibly picturesque and makes for a stunning “I do” backdrop.
Thoughts from the bride Maria: “This was actually our second wedding, as we had gotten married in India on July 14th (Bastille Day!), so we had been joking that the Indian wedding was Arvind’s wedding and this was my wedding. My mom and I had looked at a few venues as Arvind was in California and as soon as we got to Manakiki I knew a Manakiki Golf Course wedding was the spot. The outdoor ceremony site was so beautiful and the indoor had such a classic, elegant feel. Plus, the studio-style dressing area for the women and the man cave for the men were just too much fun. I could immediately picture the day. And honestly, I was surprised by how well all the details came together–the flowers matched with the name cards matched with the welcome sign matched with the bridesmaids.
“An amusing thing that went “wrong” was my mom taking the cake topper out of the car and leaving it at home a full 45 minutes away. I had spent months looking for the perfect interracial couple to stick on our cake. And I couldn’t find one. So I decided to paint the groom brown. Which turned out to be a bad idea too – long story short -I finally found a cake topper that I loved and that fit us as a couple and my mom left it at home. But I just happened to have ordered a little wooden cat statue to represent our cat on our big day. He sat proudly atop the cake and looked adorable. It was one of my favorite features of the day when all was said and done. And totally not what we had planned.
“Another funny story from the day. When the boys were getting ready the best man was bragging that if there was one thing he knew how to do it was tie a tie, as he and the groom had to wear ties to school every day for years through junior high and high school. So he puts the tie around his neck – holds the two ends and looks confused. “Arvind, can you help me?” Apparently he had forgotten that the groom had been the one tying his tie all those years.”
That is funny!
“One of the things I was most excited about was the blind date with a book party favors. During COVID I started a book club with a group of girls and it ended up being a huge success and tons of fun. Our Manakiki Gold Course wedding party favors were bookmarks that read “Thanks for being part of our story” and then there was a table with about 60-70 books all wrapped in brown paper with vague descriptions on them for people to pick out. Of course a couple of my book club girlies came over before the wedding and we wrapped and chatted and came up with descriptions. I forget most of the descriptions but a few examples:
“It’s, like, literally 1984” for the book 1984
“This is a book” for the novel The Idiot
“A topical murder mystery” for a book I found called Marriage is Murder”
What a fun Manakiki Golf Course wedding and I loved the book favor idea.
