Ohio Orthodox Jewish Wedding

Chasya and Mordechai’s Ohio Orthodox Jewish wedding at Cincinnati Music Hall was a beautiful celebration.

I was so pleased when Chasya’s mother, Jennifer, contacted me about her daughter’s wedding. Her husband, Nachum, is an avid photographer, and said he recognized my wedding photos were not what they usually saw so they asked me to travel to Cincinnati for the wedding. I always love going to new places so it was a thrill to be asked!

Ohio Orthodox Jewish weddings and even out of state are always so fun to photograph. The action is non stop and it’s so wonderful to witness the tradition and love from the community at these weddings. With everything going on during the day it’s a challenge I always love!

Everything was at Cincinnati Music Hall. It’s a classical music performance hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, completed in 1878. It serves as the home for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival Chorus, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

Mother Jennifer: “Cincinnati Music Hall was a really special venue. Every space was grand and gorgeous. One of our favorite parts of the wedding was during the Chuppah when the entire crowd of almost 300 people sang, “If I forget thee, Jerusalem” with Chasya and Mordechai. The ringing acoustics in the space were so beautiful and it was a very emotional moment for everyone.

“Family is very important to Chasya and Mordechai. Having such a large amount of family from near and far at the wedding meant so much to them. During the wedding, they also made a point of remembering their grandparents who have passed away and also honoring their grandparents who were in attendance.”

Before and after the ceremony we were able to make some photos outside the Music Hall in the old neighborhood with Washington Park across the street.

I loved this couple and these photos of this Ohio Orthodox Jewish wedding. I can confidently say this in my top 10 weddings I’ve ever photographed!
