Nadia and Andrew’s Union Club wedding was a classy affair.

Nadia and Andrew are such a fun couple! It’s been great getting to know them in the last year so I
knew their wedding would be a great time.
Nadia gave me lots of great quotes about her venues so I’m sharing quite a bit of them here. “Being
the daughter of an architect has taught me to appreciate the space you are in. I love places that have
unique architecture, because that in and of itself is an experience. One that can be captured through
physical presence and through photography (artistic work).” I definitely love using the spaces for my
photos and not just close ups that could be taken anywhere.
The Union Club is a beautiful venue with all of its historic settings and artwork. I’m excited to
say I’m there three times this year!
“I chose the Union Club because I wanted something different. I wanted something separate from the
typical wedding held at a hotel. I loved the fact that the cocktail hour was in rooms downstairs, and
the reception was in a room upstairs. It really allows people to have a different experience, and it
allows them to ‘feel the space’. You gain a different experience being in the Reading Room as you do
in the Reception Ballroom.”
I also love the church they chose. It has a unique look and vibe for services as you’ll see.
“We chose St. Peter Catholic Church for a number of reasons and I appreciated the historical
significance, I love the architecture and it gave such an elegant feel. I also really appreciated how
welcoming the congregation was, including Father Philip.
“During the homily he said ‘there was a whole lot of Nadia coming in that room. Andrew is like
glass. Just so calm.’ “
Pittsburgh is known for their cookie tables at weddings and this was the best looking one I’ve
ever seen!
The cookie table was designed by the groom’s mother Toni and the groom’s godmother Shelly. “They
took it very seriously, and so it was a must at our wedding since Andrew is from Pittsburgh. They
spent many months planning it, having weekly meetings at First Watch to go over every detail. Toni
designed the cookie table, and Shelly made all of the cookies. She also included some cookies that
were unique to my Iranian heritage, which warmed my family’s heart. The morning putting it together
(I was told) was hectic, but with Ursula’s help, they got it put together and it looked beautiful! “
Oh yes Ursula was the wedding coordinator and so helpful all day. Due to knowing her family Nadia
knew it would work well. “When I reached out to Ursula, I knew I would be treated like family and I
hoped she felt like she was part of our family. And I never regretted that decision!”
Nadia’s mother, Bonnie, helped her get ready.
Michael adjusted Andrew’s tie.
Andrew’s boutonniere was attached by mother Toni.
Maid of honor Juliana had some special time with Nadia.
Father Philip led the ceremony at St. Peter Catholic Church.
A dark storm was headed our way at the Italian Cleveland Cultural Garden so we made some quick photos.
The rain started violently so we made our way quickly back to the bus.
The Union Club is easily one of the most beautiful venues in Cleveland.
That Pittsburgh cookie table!
Antonia, a friend of Nadia’s got some cookies.
The dance floor was packed all night.
Maggie, Genny and Rosie, cousins of Andrew danced all night.
Patrick and Alice made a point on the dance floor.
Don, a friend of Andrew’s parents got down!
