Kelsey and David had a windy Vermilion on the Lake Wedding.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
The entire day was spent at Vermilion on the Lake except for a brief bit where I took the couple
to a nearby beach on Lake Erie for some photos.
This was my first time at the venue and I loved the rustic log cabin vibe inside during the reception. The
ceremony took place on the grounds with the couple standing in front of a small gazebo.
Kelsey and David were a fun couple all day!
Kelsey: “Both of us are super geeks and we tried to incorporate our favorite video games like Legend
of Zelda and Kirby into different parts of our celebration. Our unity ceremony is our box of “checkpoints and
key items” and the heart logo I made is the Zelda heart with a Kirby star in the center. The box of chocolates
on the dessert table were Kirby faces and 8-bit hearts. My ring was based on the flower “Silent Princess” from
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Will with the colors of purple for Zelda and pink for Kirby.
“I am the cosplayer and extrovert so climbing on top of a rock in the water to get dramatic photos was
like pretending to be the Little Mermaid.
“David is the introvert and we had a cardboard cutout to be his stand-in while he took a break from
the activity was perfect. The cardboard got to crowdsurf and be in lots of photobooth selfies.”
Kelsey’s mother Carol helped with her dress.

Kelsey danced with her father Ron which made her mother and brothers get a bit misty eyed.
Friend Moeka caught the self-destructing bouquet.
