Shelby and Jack’s tent wedding reception was just so perfect. The stately location and gorgeously dressed people made for a wonderful time.

After photographing their wedding the week before I was excited for the reception. We again started with getting ready photos at the groom’s 19th century home in Chagrin Falls. After we made some fun portraits of Shelby on the grounds and Jack in the barn/turned cool hangout spot we were off!

I arrived a bit earlier to the tent wedding reception as the guests were already there. Cocktails poolside and lots of conversation and hors d’oeuvres had everyone ready for the couple’s arrival.

Shelby: “Jack’s grandfather Steve’s property felt like the perfect balance between elegant and personal. It’s obviously a beautiful location, but it also holds so many memories for both me and Jack.”

When they were dropped off everyone threw flower petals and the party was now truly on!

The tent wedding reception was underway as everyone took their seats for some toasts and dinner.

Shelby: “What was most important to both of us going into the planning was the food. We’re both health nuts and greatly value the local farming community which made Spice the perfect fit. Their food is local, ethically farmed, and absolutely delicious. We’ve gotten numerous compliments on the catering they provided from guests. Same with the dessert. We fell in love with By Cenza’s expert cake designs and were incredibly impressed that the cake tastes just as luxurious as it looks.”

After dinner everyone played lawn games like cornhole and Jenga. Then it was ice cream time and pizza time.

“As local Clevelanders, we obviously love East Coast Custard, and thought it’d be a great surprise in addition to Boom’s Pizza at the end of the night. I think the addition of both contributed to our relaxed, family friendly vibe with the yard games and late night pool party to top it off.”
